Welcome to ACT Youth Theatre

Carlisle & Penrith’s Premier Youth Performing Arts School

At ACT Youth Theatre, we offer aspiring young performers aged 4 to 18 the chance to explore and develop their talents in drama, musical theatre, and contemporary dance.

"From contemporary dance to full-scale musical theatre, our classes emphasise expressive movement, voice, and stagecraft. Students are coached in posture, coordination, physical expression, and acting technique — all with the goal of helping them shine in front of an audience."

Based in Carlisle (Currock Community Centre) and Penrith (Penrith Rugby Club), we provide a creative, professional environment where students build confidence, stage presence, and performance skills.

Performance Opportunities.

Every year, ACT Youth Theatre produces two major shows: a summer musical production and a spectacular Christmas showcase .

These productions give our students real theatre experience, building their understanding of what it takes to put on a show.
