The Legend of Mowgli! - 2023

The Legend of Mowgli is a new immersive musical theatre experience based on Rudyard Kipling’s classic collection of stories, The Jungle Book.

With Music, Lyrics and Book by ACT Youth Theatre.

Following the life of orphaned boy, Mowgli, who is found as a baby and taken in by wolves deep in the Indian Jungle.

Protected by wise panther Bagheera, who’s own life experience enables him to vouch for the man-cub, and Baloo, a heavy-handed bear who teaches young Mowgli the Jungle Law.

Mowgli learns to hunt, fight, and play just like the other animals of the jungle.

However, the lame Tiger, Shere Khan, wants Mowgli for himself, but is overruled by the pack and the law of the jungle.

Now, Mowgli must search for courage and guidance to show Shere Khan that he is not to be underestimated.

With the very rare ability to think, feel, and do as both man and animal, will Mowgli survive the obstacles he faces?

Will it be nature or nurture that decides his fate?

Through physical theatre, elaborate costumes, make-up, and original music this spectacle will be brought to life live on stage.
